Cargilfield School is attended by more than 300 girls and boys, aged 3-13 years and is the oldest independent boarding and day prep school in Scotland. SPORTEX was selected to provide specialist sports construction and civil engineering skills in building a new 90m x 60m, fully equipped artificial turf pitch for hockey and tennis, supported by a newly refurbished, three court tennis facility. The new build specification was an engineered macadam construction, incorporating a lateral drainage system; overlaid by an in-situ bound rubber shock pad. High quality 18mm TigerTurf ‘EVO PRO’ sand-dressed artificial turf was installed for both the new hockey facility and the refurbished tennis courts. Both facilities had 868 rigid panel weld mesh perimeter fencing installed, and were furnished with a full complement of hockey and tennis sports equipment, along with LED floodlighting.
